Learning outcomes

The student becomes familiar with the different contexts, histories and roles of social work, as well as its developments within the welfare state framework.

Contents

The literature deals with the different contexts, roles and histories of social work in Finland, and in a more limited scale for instance in Britain and the United States. The literature introduces also different methodological angles to social work and its research, and highlights possible tensions between them.

Examination taken as electronic exam.
