General description

The course familiarizes students with multidisciplinary field of Public Health. The students will also learn how to successfully use some core learning methods.

Contents

Perspectives (introductory lectures) in health promotion, cancer screening, lifestyle, health policies and politics, health economics, social psychiatry, gerontology and geriatrics, occupational health, biostatistics

Further information on prerequisites and recommendations

Lectures are for all students. Group work, participation in site visits and literature included in the learning diary are only for MPH students. Students have to register for the course on the internet at http://www.uta.fi/nettiopsu/. Deadline for the registration is two weeks before the course starts.

Numeric 1-5.
The learning diary is graded on a scale of 1-5 or failed.
