Learning outcomes

Learning Outcome: The aim of the course is to provide an introduction to the questions of public administration in Finland and European Union. The course develops a fundamental understanding of public policy.

Contents

Contents: On completion of this course students should have a knowledge and understanding of: European Union, Finnish public administration, public policy, welfare state, governance.

Lectures

Lectures (12 hours, in English).

Modes of study

Lectures 12 h (2 ECTS credits) including articles and other materials specified during the lectures. Language of lectures: English. Can be completed by an examination based on lectures.

Books (7 ECTS credits): Can be completed by taking an exam on the following books or by writing essays according to the guidelines of the instructor
(see http://www.uta.fi/laitokset/jola/opiskelu/studies.php).
