MATEA43 Practical Training in Mathematics 2–8 ECTS

General description

The practical training will develop the student’s ability to apply mathematical information and mathematical skills in a real working environment. During the practical training, the student will gain an insight into the duties of the field and/or familiarise himself with some specialisation area of mathematics.

Learning outcomes

The professor of mathematics approves the training placement and practical training on the basis of a plan devised before the training period. The amount of credits awarded will be based on the duration and nature of the practical training.

Modes of study

The student will write a report on the practical training which along with a certificate from the employer will be delivered upon completion of the training period to the professor of mathematics and to the person in charge of the supervision of the training in the workplace.

Evaluation

Pass/fail.
