Learning outcomes

To introduce students to the basic concepts of Russian phonetics and the phonetic structure of the Russian language.

Contents

Introduction to the sound system, central phonetic laws, word stress characteristics and intonation types of Russian. Exercises in phonetic transcription and transliterating Russian words.
