Learning outcomes

After a successful completion of this course, students will be able to have academic debates related to their specialisation field.

European Studies:
Upon completion of the study unit the student is capable of engaging in an advanced scientific discussion on European studies with regard to theoretical and substantial issues, in particular vis-a-vis European integration, regional co-operation and EU external relations.

Peace and Conflict Studies:
After a successful completion of this course, a student is familiar with the academic discussion of peace and conflict research both in theoretical and empirical terms.

Contents

World Politics, European Studies or Conflict Research, or some other research field of international relations to be agreed upon individually.

A book exam (see literature) and participation in a theme seminar with introductory lectures and student essays.

Numeric 1-5.
Participation in seminar work and a presentation.

Recommended year of study

First or second year of Master's studies. The seminar is organised every year, and students may decide when to take it.
