Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will have a thorough understanding of the central research approaches in translation studies and the ability to critically assess translation research and the methodologies employed. The student will be familiar with the principles of good scientific practice and research ethics, and will be able to apply those principles in their own research. The student will have the ability to apply translation research methodologies in their Master's Thesis.
Contents
The course unit explores the principles of scientific research, specifically translation research theories and methodologies, as well as how they are applied in practical research. Additionally, the course unit will address the fundamental principles of good scientific practice and research ethics.
