Learning outcomes

To be able to read Classical Latin by the help of dictionary and other tools.

Contents

Two series of lectures, both 24h, with a final examination, or a book exam for which students read approximately 60-80 pages of Latin texts (including Caesar, Sallustius, Livius, Tacitus, Ammianus Marcellinus, Cicero, Seneca and Boethius) and approximately 1400 verses by Roman poets (e.g. Catullus, Vergilius, Horatius, Ovidius).
