SOSPA4 Bachelor's Seminar and Thesis 10 ECTS

Learning outcomes

Students master the practices of seminar work. Students are able to set a research problem and select the appropriate theoretical discourse and methodological instruments to solve it. Students are able to compile a scientific text entity and use scientific arguments. The result of the work is a Bachelor's thesis of 20-30 pages. The thesis can also be a more condensed scientific article.

Further information on prerequisites and recommendations

The faculty general studies courses Empirical Research Methods (3 ECTS) and Basics of Statistics and SPSS (5 ECTS) must be completed before this module. It is recommended that students complete the study module A3 simultaneously with this module.

Further information

In connection with the seminar, students complete 2 ECTS credits from Finnish language studies in the language and communication studies, and the faculty general studies course Information Acquisition II (1 ECTS).
