Learning outcomes
By the end of the course the students can:
- can read, analyze and summarize academic texts - can communicate the findings of academic texts - can present, defend and argue ones position on academic issues - can articulate ones research and area of expertise in accordance to appropriate academic conventions both in the writing of an academic abstract and an oral presentation - can perform as a chairperson, opponent, and participant in an academic seminar - can interact with individuals of various cultural backgrounds on educational issues

Modes of study
Participants are required to attend all classes and actively participate in the activities. If absent for a class be prepared to give a 5 minute presentation at the beginning of the next class. Students will be asked to keep a learner journal which should be submitted midway in the course and then at the end of the course.
Evaluation
and evaluation criteria
Numeric 1-5.
Students are expected to show an improvement in their ability to express themselves and will be evaluated both continuously and in a final test.
