Learning outcomes

To deepen the student’s knowledge of the theories of archival science and records management and familiarise the student with the research of the field.

Archival theories and their interpretations. Theories of records management. Continuum thinking. Research on records management and preservation. Research trends.

Teaching methods

Finnish: lectures and seminars (20 h) and summary of an article or book exam, English: book exam (to be agreed with the teacher)

Finnish: written examination on lectures and presenting a summary of an article in the seminar, or a written examination on books. English: written examination on books
