Learning outcomes

After the course students know the basic concepts and theories on the growth and learning in vocational education and training and are able to apply their theoretical knowledge in the practices of vocational education.

Contents

The aim of the course is to deepen the students’ understanding of the concepts and theoretical basis of professional learning and professional growth. Other topics include career development, competence management, developing interaction and creating knowledge in organization as well as the evaluation of the development of skills and knowledge (5 ECTS).

As a practicum assignment students will prepare a theoretically based and evaluative report of a vocational education or organizational development project in which they have actively participated (3 ECTS).

Evaluation and evaluation criteria

Numeric 1-5.
Participation in lectures; critical essays (3-4) based on lectures and literature; practicum report. As a practicum assignment students will prepare a theoretically based and evaluative report of a vocational education or organizational development project in which they have actively participated.
