Learning outcomes

To master the central morphological structures and word classes of the German language and to understand that grammatical knowledge is a part of linguistics and language mastery.

Contents

Grammar as a concept, different sectors of grammar, word classes (verb, noun, adjective, numeral, pronoun and undeclinable classes), their characteristics, inflection and usage.

Modes of study

Class participation and exercises; a written final exam in German or in Finnish. Alternatively a book exam in German or in Finnish.

Evaluation and evaluation criteria

Numeric 1-5.
Evaluation by written exam.
