Learning outcomes

To acquaint students with key events and concepts in Finnish-Russian relations and to teach them to detect the dynamics of continuity and change in international relations between Finland and Russia.

Contents

Finnish-Russian relations in a historical perspective (from 1809 to the present day); the autonomous Grand Duchy’s policies on Russia, the period of independent statehood, Finnish-Russian relations in the multilateral EU context.
