Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will have a thorough understanding of the specific features of translating and interpreting as multilingual and multicultural communication. They will also recognise the different genres of translating and interpreting and will be able to describe them. In addition, the student will have an understanding of the basics of translating and interpreting as a profession, and will understand the general concept of translation studies and its connection to other related disciplines.
