Learning outcomes

To introduce students to the life, customs and social structure of the German speaking countries; to introduce students to the methods of cultural study.

Contents

A cultural comparative study of the everyday life in the German speaking countries; working life, school, studying, living, family, bringing up children, free time and holidays, mass media, youth culture; institutions and social structure; education systems; social security systems.

Evaluation and evaluation criteria

Numeric 1-5.
Evaluation by active participation in exercises and by presentation/project or by book exam.
