Learning outcomes

To deepen the student’s knowledge of the main approaches of research on information seeking, to examine critically the strengths and limitations of the theories of the research field and to provide ideas for Master’s theses.

Contents

Detailed examination of the basic concepts and models of research on information seeking, cognitive and social factors in information seeking, information seeking and use in the context of a decision-making process, information seeking in everyday life: gathering and analysing empirical data in research on information seeking.
