Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to give to the students basic information on university studies in general and especially at the University of Tampere, and to familiarise the students with the educational objectives of their own major subject/degree programme and with planning their studies.

Contents

The University of Tampere as a learning environment, the Faculty of Information Sciences, the departments, physical spaces and staff, subjects, degrees, planning studies to be taken, study counselling, study techniques, the legal protection of a student, decision making, social services, information services.

Evaluation

Pass/fail.
