Learning outcomes

To familiarize oneself with some fundamental issues of classical number theory.

Contents

Congruences, primitive roots and discrete logarithms, quadratic residues, arithmetic functions.

Teaching methods

Lectures and weekly exercises. The amount of tuition depends on the number of credits awarded for the course.
