General description

This course is in accordance with the faculty requirements for an advanced foreign language course. It is also suitable as an optional course for students of all faculties.

Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students will
- understand structurally and contentwise demanding general texts
- be able to write a summary of a text they have read, along with a commentary, and present supporting and opposing argumentations
- be able to produce grammatically correct and understandable text

Contents

This course improves text comprehension by enlarging students' vocabularies. Structural skills that have already been learned will be enhanced and they will be practised by writing texts. Exercises will use topical texts on different subjects, and there will also be related oral and written tasks.
