Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, the students will be able to
- communicate orally and in writing about everyday events in past and future tenses
- comprehend the main content of texts on work, studies and daily events
- describe their personal hopes and ambitions
- connect thoughts using the conjunctions "but", "because" and "although"
- decline adjectives, imperfects and passives

Contents

During this course, students practice oral communication in pairs or small groups, using authentic material (listening comprehensions). Grammar will rely on a text book and lecture handouts. There will be translation and structure exercises. Special emphasis on the verb. Familiarisation with the culture of Spanish-speaking countries.

Numeric 1-5.
Continuous assessment. Grades will depend on activity in participation, completion of tasks, and a final written test at the end of the course, should the teacher find it necessary.
