On completion of the course the student - has acquired substantial knowledge about foundations, history and mainstream theories of social gerontology - understands the function of social networks in ageing adults - has practised critical thinking and scientific reasoning - can debate on different viewpoints and defend scientific arguments - is able to apply scientific knowledge to societal practice
