KKVE1A2 BEGINNERS' RUSSIAN COURSE II 3 ECTS

Preceding studies
A1 language proficiency level, approximately 40-50 hours of previous studies. Students will recognise the alphabet and handle greetings, introductions, exchanging news, thanking and apologising and other such situations fairly well.

Learning outcomes

After successful completion of this course, students will
- understand the most usual questions about themselves, when addressed slowly and clearly
- find familiar words in menus, or names and contact information in advertisements, announcements, etc.
- be able to react appropriately in conversational situations in which people are getting to know each other and convey the most essential information in short sentences or single words
- be able to make an appointment by time and place, given amplification from the other party.

Contents

Language learning will be realised through simple question-and-answer type language use situations, which will be varied by working in pairs. Topics include: studies, work, leisure time, visits and getting around in the city.

Evaluation and evaluation criteria

Numeric 1-5.
Regular and active participation, written and oral examination. The grade is based on the exams and active participation. Grades from oral and written parts weigh the same.
