Learning outcomes

1) To master recent theoretical and methodological debates in the field of International Relations;
2) to apply advanced theoretical and/or methodological debates to the study of Russia and Europe in international relations.

Contents

Recent theoretical and methodological debates in International Relations; applications to the study of Russia and Europe. The course is organized as an international symposium together with the Jean Monnet Centre and suitable doctoral schools, with participation of doctoral students and advanced researchers. Leading scholars in the study of Russia and Europe will present on their areas of expertise and act as discussants in the sessions of the symposium. The students prepare in advance by means of readings and group discussion. After the symposium the students prepare independent written work that can also be related to their Master’s theses.
