Learning outcomes

To see verb idioms as a part of phraseology groups; to recognise the similarities and differences between the central features of Finnish and German verb idioms.

Contents

Central concepts of phraseology; phraseology classification, verb idiomatics in contrastive phraseology; the equivalence between Finnish and German verb idioms.

Modes of study

Participation in lectures and assignments; a written exam or a final project. Alternatively a book exam. The course can be completed in Finnish or in German.

Evaluation and evaluation criteria

Numeric 1-5.
Evaluation by assignments done during the course. Written exam or final project.
