Learning outcomes

To prepare the student for the study of algebraic geometry or its applications by means of some classical algebraic geometry.

Contents

Affine and projective varieties, Zariski-topology, rational functions, morphisms between varieties, regular varieties.

The course is based on lectures given in Finnish. As an auxiliary reference, the following books are recommended:
