HISEP1 Introduction to Finnish History 4 ECTS

Learning outcomes

To give to the exchange students the basic information on Finnish history, so that they may continue to thematic courses. The course serves also as an independent introduction to the history and culture of Finland.

Contents

The unit gives the general outline of Finnish history from prehistoric times to the present day.

Modes of study

Finnish History Seminar compensation for HISEP1:

For 4 credits:
Participation in the lectures and an essay of a chosen topic. For four credits the student needs to do an oral essay outline presentation and a written essay of 8-10 pages.

For 2 credits:
Participation in the lectures and a seminar diary.

Evaluation

Numeric 1-5.
