Learning outcomes
The course enhances students´ understanding of the relationships between education, citizenship and the state in a comparative and cross-disciplinary perspective.
Contents
The course analyses the historical construction of the relationship between education and citizenship and examines new challenges emanating from the European integration process, globalisation and migration. These issues are analysed in the context of Finland and other European and non-European countries.
