KKVE10 INTERMEDIATE RUSSIAN COURSE II 3 ECTS

Preceding studies

Intermediate Russian Course I or equivalent skills. A1-A2 language proficiency level, approximately 130-150 hours of language studies. Students are able to give the basic information on their life (studies, family relations, work, accommodation) and understand questions on events in their lives that have already happened or will happen in the future. Students who have taken the Intermediate Russian Course I in 2007 or before, should not sign up for this course, because it corresponds to the second part of the previous intermediate course. They will proceed with their studies to the text comprehension course.

Learning outcomes

After successful completion of this course, students will
- be able to give more detailed information about a topic
- be able to describe a thing, event or a person that interests them
- be able to write a coherent written text based on feedback (account of a journey, letter, diary, etc.)

Learning is based on communication, as on beginners' courses. Work methods include conversations in small groups and process writing. Topics include: leisure, environment, exercise, nature and life in a city.

Evaluation and evaluation criteria

Numeric 1-5.
Regular and active participation, completed assignments, written and oral examination. The grade is based on the exams and active participation. Grades from oral and written parts weigh the same. Portfolio assessment is an alternative to the written examination.
