Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will be able to present and refine questions suitable for academic discussion and write about these questions from an academic point of view. The student will also have a thorough understanding of the most important methods of scientific writing, such as giving and receiving constructive feedback, citing references in an academic manner, integrating sources into their own writing, and thorough editing of their texts.
Contents
The student will be able to apply the skills they have learnt in the course unit Introduction to Academic Writing to their independent writing projects. The student will consider different perspectives, develop their own thinking and formulate scientific arguments, produce draft texts, read the texts of other students, edit their own texts, and write an academic essay as the final project of the course unit.
