The goal of teaching in tax law is to give a comprehensive picture of tax law as an integral part of the Finnish legal system. The main focus of teaching is on the norms governing direct taxation. As far as indirect taxation is concerned, value-added tax is the main object of interest. Legal safeguards affecting taxation, international tax law, European tax law and also the politics of taxation feature in the teaching.
