The Research Centre for Vocational Education, in Hämeenlinna, has an important status both as a researcher and as an educator of vocational education. The centre is responsible for the further education of teachers who work as vocational educators, as well as staff trainers and other experts of vocational education. The centre is also responsible for the research of vocational education and the future development of the field of vocational education in Finland.
