Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, the student is expected to grasp the principles of studying in the university and to be familiar with the University of Tampere as a study environment. The student is also expected to be aware of the structure, requirements and learning outcomes of her/his degree programme, and the learning, study guidance and councelling opportunities available to her/him. The student is expected to be able to apply this knowledge in the planning and completion of her/his studies.

General description

This course consists of the following parts:

- Orientation course for international students, week 34 22. – 26.8. (+Tampere-tour Sat 27.8.)

- Introduction to Academic Culture and Degree Studies on Wednesday 24.8 at 9-12 and Monday 29.8 at 9-12. The sessions are compulsory for all new degree students.

- Orientation to the study programme and the Kauppi Campus on Thursday 25.8 at 13-15 in Arvo building (on Kauppi Campus).
