Objectives

Students learn about social work and social problems in the context of Sub-Saharan African societies and their social development. Students get some practical and theoretical understanding for working in the international development field.


Study methods

This course will include class instruction, group work/discussion sessions for 20 hours.

There will be three articles/online readings assigned for the students.

Readings will amount to 15 hours of work.

Essay (besides the lectures the reading materials are also reflected in the essay) amounts up to 80 hours of work.
