Upon completion of the course, the students are equipped with the skills to analyze the effects of disasters and silent emergencies on human health and health systems. They have adopted the basic principles of health care in crisis and are able to assess, plan, implement and monitor health care in exceptional situations.
The course will strengthen understanding of: causes (natural, man-made) of humanitarian crises and disasters and their impact on people's health, public health consequences of humanitarian crises, management strategies of humanitarian crises situations with national and international efforts.

There is no course examination.The course scoring is based on evaluation of the course assignments.
Web-based learning: video- and online lectures, discussions, learning diary, case report, group works and independent studying.
