General description

Learning outcomes:

The course provides deeper understanding for the students on the innovation studies with respect to knowledge and skills, knowledge economy, and, economic development.

Content:

The course focuses on innovation studies and puts emphasis on knowledge and skills in economic development and innovations. During the course the various aspects of education in the society will be studied as well as the different modes of knowledge intensive functions in today's economies and innovation systems will be analysed.

Modes of study: 

lectures, discussions, oral presentation and essay

Study materials/literature:

Selected articles on innovation studies. Articles will be given to the students in the beginning of the course.
