After the course the student will
- understand the characteristics of the Finnish education system and its underlying value base
- be aware of the historical roots and development strategies that shape the Finnish education system
- be able to compare and discuss different education systems

Maximum 30 students. Priority is given to exchange students in the Faculty of Education and students studying in international master’s degree programs in Teacher Education and in Media Education.
An equivalent course will also be organized in the spring semester 2019.
The course assignments will be applied according the level of studies (Bachelor/Master).
