Learning outcomes
After the successful completion of the course, the students will
- have knowledge on key concepts regarding humanitarian disasters
- be able to analyse and understand the effects of the crises on health
- know strategies for disaster prevention and management with reference to health and healthcare
- be able to appraise scientific literature and to make oral presentations
General description
This course involves lectures and focal reading, which are processed in supervised essays and presentations and discussed in a seminar sessions in Tampere.
