After the completion of the course, students will become familiar with different theoretical approaches, concepts and issues in the field of postcolonial feminism. Students will develop abilities to explore the emergent and contested dimensions of the gendered, national and cultural identities as well as with different aspects of the debate in post-colonial studies including ethnicity, multiculturalism, nationalism, Third World feminism, gender and decolonization, globalization, the gendered dimension of migrant cultures.
