After the course, the student can:
- Retrieve information from databases that store genome-wide datasets.
- Use common tools and databases to perform genome-wide data analysis.
- Apply advanced bioinformatics tools in specific problems.
General description
The course covers the following:
- Visualization and analysis of high-throughput data using web tools
- Mass spectrometry analysis
- Effect of a mutation on the 3D structure of a protein
- Accessing online databases through APIs
- Application of supervised learning methods
- DNA-sequencing data analysis
