After taking this course the student
- is familiar with different usability evaluation methods and knows how to use them during the product development process,
- understands major ethical considerations of usability studies,
- knows how to carry out a heuristic evaluation and a usability test in a laboratory, and write a usability test plan and report the findings,
- has participated in a hands-on usability evaluation project which is carried out as team work,
- knows how to carry out a usability test of a given product using good practices,
- has developed team work skills needed in working life.
The course is intended for the HTI students starting in Master's degree studies in UTA or TUT and for other international Master's degree students in UTA.
