General description

Content:

1. Models of psychology and psychopathology: biological, behavioral, psychoanalytical, humanistic.

2. Definitions of mental illness based on biomedical and evolutionary perspective. 

3. Delusions as an example of human irrationality: contemporary explanatory theories of delusions in medicine, psychology and cognitive sciences.

4. Madness and rationality. Psychosis in the light of procedural and epistemic rationality. The limits of understanding of mental disorder; experiential rationality and inclusive rationality.

5. Embodied mind and neurocognitive models of human action. From an estranged to an engaged epistemology.
