Learning outcomes:
At the end of the course, the students will
-master the key theoretical and methodological tools of cultural-historical activity theory
-be able to carry out analyses of activities undergoing transformations
-be aware of formative interventions as ways to support learning and agency formation processes
Contents:
The students will be introduced to
-the 20-year Finnish research tradition of cultural-historical activity theory for work development and societal transformations
-conceptual and methodological resources to trace and support emergent processes of expansive learning and transformative agency in communities, workplaces and educational institutions
Modes of study: Participation in the lectures and seminars, and written assignments
Enrollment at the latest on 16.1.2019.
Evaluation criteria: In-class assignments, active participation in classroom discussions, quality of the argumentation in the classroom presentations and in the discussions
