The seminar serves as an introduction to the history and culture of Finland. It gives the basic information of the history of Finland from prehistoric times to the present; with focus on those events and phenomena that are especially important for understanding the culture and society of Finland. On their essays, the students will be able to concentrate on themes which they find the most interesting.
