Learning outcomes

The goal of the Master’s program in Vocational education is to promote the understanding and expertise of the various phenomena of vocational education and to develop the ability to discuss critically the current themes of vocational education. In addition, the goal is to provide prerequisites for the evaluation of the research and development on the field and for the research of the phenomena of vocational education.

Content

Degree structure:
- Communication studies 5 ECTS
- Advanced studies in vocational education 82 ECTS
- Minor subject 25 ECTS
- Optional / other studies 8 ECTS

The scope of Master’s degree 120 ECTS

The Master’s program in Vocational education can be completed alongside work. This principle is shown in:
1.The practical planning and implementation of the studies:
Education is periodical and organised in the way that working students are able to participate in lectures and instruction (mainly on Friday evenings at 16-20 and Saturdays at 9-15)

2.The preparing of personal study plans:
Each student prepares his or her own personal study plan

3.In the study counselling during the whole length of the studies:
The differing needs and experiences of adult students are taken into account in study counselling.
