Master's Degree Programme in Health Sciences (International health)
Learning outcomes
The Master´s Degree Programme in Health Sciences is offered by the Tampere School of Public Health and the Medical School. The programme takes an interdisciplinary approach to health issues from a global and public health perspective and utilises both traditional and problem based approaches to learning.
The curriculum is designed to provide the students with specialized knowledge of health, health care resources and the general themes and special features of national and international health care systems.
There are two options for major subject areas: Public health and International health.

Content of the Master´s Degree Programme: Compulsory general studies, 15 ECTS Compulsory studies in the major subject area, 15 ECTS Elective studies in public health or international health, 35-40 ECTS Master’s thesis and related compulsory research studies, 40 ECTS Elective research studies, 5-10 ECTS Elective studies, 10 ECTS
