Master's Degree Programme in Human-Technology Interaction (2012-2013)

Learning outcomes

Students having completed the Master's Degree Programme in Human-Technology Interaction will
- know product development methods in theory and practice well enough to work independently in research and product development,
- know user interface design and software development methods well enough to work as a HTI specialist in product development.

Studies in the Master's programme in Human-Technology Interaction are divided into three specializations. In addition to the general goals of the Master's programme each specialization has its own goals.

After completing the specialization in Interaction Design and Research the student
- knows the central themes in past and present interaction techniques,
- knows the theoretical foundations of human-technology interaction,
- can choose and apply appropriate research methods in evaluating interaction techniques, interaction design, and user interfaces.

After completing the specialization in Development of Interactive Software the student
- knows the software architectures used for implementing user interfaces,
- can apply software development techniques to implement new interaction techniques in products and services, and
- understands the strengths and limitations of the constructive research method in HTI.

After completing the specialization in User Experience Design and Evaluation the student
- knows the User Experience research and development methods,
- can apply this knowledge in research and development of new interactive technologies.
