Master of Social Sciences, International Relations

Content

International Relations is offered as a major subject in Bachelor's and Master's degrees in social sciences. After Basic Studies students may take a special interest in the research of world politics, European integration or international conflicts.

Studies focus on states' foreign policies and diplomacy, European integration and regional co-operation, security and integration policy, conflict origins, management and resolution processes, major problem areas in world politics, international organisations, likewise the various research orientations in international relations and history of the discipline.

In studies leading to the Master's degree students endeavour through research to go deeper into subjects of their own choosing in international relations and into the methodological applications of the discipline and its theoretical bases. Research work is arranged under personal scientific supervision.
