Over the years as project researcher my research topics have varied from the history of journalism to genres of reportage and forms of digital journalism. I have studied also citizen communication, hyperlocal communities and citizen journalism. Lately I have explored social media, its practices and structures and the fate of privacy in the age of platforms and surveillance capitalism. In the field of journalism studies I have been researching online business models, data journalism and lately immersive journalism. Recently I am exploring communicative rights in the age of platformization.
