Jaksolla perehdytään uusimpaan antropologiseen tutkimukseen sekä antropologisiin keskusteluihin eri osa-aluilla, kuten muuttoliiketutkimuksessa, terveysantropologiassa, lapsuuden antropologiassa, uskontojen antropologiassa, poliittisessa antropologiassa, vallan ja väkivallan tutkimuksessa sekä transnationaalien ja diasporisten verkostojen tutkimuksessa.
